You may send your children in with a packed lunch and snacks, and please bring a water bottle, but please remember to ensure that there are no nuts in the ingredients of your child’s packed lunch. Children will have access to drinking water to refill their bottles throughout the day, and will be reminded to have water breaks and refill their bottle. Fizzy drinks are not allowed at Seren Super Camps but they may bring squash or flavoured water.
Please remember we are a strictly NO NUTS camp.
Yes please do! Our staff are unable to put suncream on children due to health and safety implications and safeguarding. But please send your child in with suncream already on at the start, and we encourage you to pack an easy to apply suncream for your child in their bag for them to top up their own suncream at lunch time or as necessary. Please also send your child in with a sun hat.
Children should wear comfortable clothing and trainers as they will be doing a mixture of digital fun and sports activities everyday. Please also ensure they come to camps with a waterproof coat in case of rain, and sun hats and sunglasses in case of sunny weather! We suggest that children do not bring personal devices to camps as we cannot take liability for damage or theft, but that if they do bring them they must remain switched off and in their bags at all times.
Please ensure clothing is suitable for activities like yoga and gymnastics.
You should go to the designated drop off and pick up point (Side of the Friends, double white doors near the end of the tennis courts). We operate a strict and secure drop off & collection system and all children will need to be signed in and out by a parent or guardian. If you have booked a standard day, you are able to drop off between 9.00 and 9.30am and collect no later than 4.00pm. Bookings with extended days allow you to drop off any time between 8.15am and 9.30am and pick up any time between 4.00pm and 6.00pm.
We are only able to accept and administer prescribed medication and if your child is well enough to attend. If they are unwell please do not bring them to camp/club.
If your child is likely to require prescribed medication of any sort throughout the day, please inform the site manager on arrival, who will ask you to complete the necessary paperwork. All medication should be handed to the site manager and must be in its original packaging, with the prescription label. If your child may require emergency medication (e.g. EpiPens or hypodermic injections) whilst they are with us, please complete the medication form in advance which we will send if you email hannah@serenkids.com and bring this to the club together with the relevant medication.
Please note, if your child carries an EpiPen, you will need to provide us with two, in-date EpiPens. We reserve the right to refuse admission if fewer than two EpiPens are supplied, or if the supplied epipens are not in full working order (e.g. cloudy or discoloured liquid). Both EpiPens must be in-date, in their original packaging and be prescribed to your child. It is the parents responsibility to collect the EpiPens from the holiday club at the end of each holiday period.
PLEASE NOTE: Do not send your child to holiday camps/clubs if your child is unwell or showing any symptoms of Covid 19, including a fever, high temperature, new continuous cough or a loss or change of smell or taste. Please stay home and visit www.nhs.uk for further information and advice on how to get tested. If your child becomes ill or shows symptoms in our care we will call the parent/guardians and inform them as soon as possible. Your child will be isolated away from other children and our staff will wear appropriate PPE when required, as recommended by Public Health England. If a child, or member of staff, tests positive for Covid 19, all relevant government and Public Health England guidance will be followed
Yes the menus provided are for a guide, but if you have told us that your child has an allergy or intolerance the kitchen staff will be notified and they will alter the meal for your child. Please ensure you add any allergies/food intolerances to the medical section when registering your child or let us know by emailing hannah@serenkids.com
For morning snack we will be providing children with a choice from apples, pears, oranges and bananas. If your child does not like any of these or has an allergy please provide your children with an alternative snack to bring to camp but please ensure it is NUT FREE as we do have children at camp with nut allergies. Please also provide children with an additional NUT FREE snack for afternoon snack time.
